The STO’s philosophy is all about raw power and weight saving. The car is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2L V10 engine producing 631 HP and 417 lb-ft of torque and its weight is only 1,339 kgs (2,952 lbs). Power is transferred through a 7-speed transmission and a rear-wheel drive system featuring rear-wheel steering.
The STO (Super Trofeo Omologato) has a taller rear wing with a roof snorkel for better engine cooling. The engine cover is reminiscent of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Evo race cars. The entire hood opens to reveal a small compartment for storing racing equipment and the body is made of 75% carbon fibre.
