This 993 generation model is heavily equipped thanks to Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur options (09981, 09991) and well-documented.
Exterior
The 993 generation Carrera 4S shared the 993 Turbo’s wider bodyshell, but housed the naturally aspirated engine in the rear. It also features slightly lowered suspension as compared to the standard Carrera.
The wider bodywork is widely acclaimed for its rear looks. Although it does create slightly more aerodynamic drag leading to slightly lower top speeds compared to the narrower siblings (about 5 km/h), the wider tires result in superior road handling.
Interior
The interior features gorgeous and rare Cashmere/black leather upholstery, as well as Cocoa floor mats. The seats are in great condition with very minimal wear for the mileage.
Through the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur program, the car’s original owner chose very subtle contrasting stitching in Forest Green.

Engine & Performance
The 993 Carrera 4S is powered by a 3.6L flat-six engine producing 282 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. Power is transferred through a smooth 6-speed manual transmission, as well as an all-wheel drive system for improved traction.
The 993 was the first generation of the 911 to have a 6-speed manual transmission included as standard; its predecessors had 4 or 5-speed transmissions.
The 993 C4S’ all wheel drive system was refined over that of the 964. Porsche departed from the 964’s setup consisting of three differentials and revised the system based on the layout from its 959 flagship, replacing the centre differential with a viscous coupling unit. In conjunction with the 993’s redesigned suspension, this system improved handling characteristics in inclement weather and still retained the stability offered by all wheel drive without having to suffer as many compromises as the previous all-wheel-drive system. Its simpler layout also reduced weight.
History & Condition
This Carrera 4S was originally delivered to its first owner on January 9th 1997 in Quebec where it remained in their possession for over 7 years and ~65,000 kms (~40,000 miles). It was then sold to its second owner on October 15th 2004 where it was enjoyed for 5 years. A third and final owner took possession of the car on September 20th 2009 until we acquired it nearly 10 years later.
We have a complete service history for the vehicle including maintenance booklet stamps from 1998 until 2003, as well as service records from 2001 until today.
The car has a brand new battery and rear tires (Bridgestone Potenza S-02A – 295/30/ZR18)
Impeccable CarFax report and no accidents or issues on record. Included in the sale are all owner’s manuals, a complete service history, 2 master keys and the original CD-radio Becker Porsche CDR-210 (not installed).
Body & Paint
The body is very clean with only a handful of minor blemishes from road use.
There is a small scratch on the rear bumper (driver side).
In our opinion, the 993 Carrera 4S remains one of the most beautiful and iconic air-cooled 911s that Porsche has ever built.
